After leaving school in 1970, I travelled through Europe and came up against the end of the Mediterranean in Israel, mostly penniless. I seem to recall going to some agency in Tel Aviv and being allocated a place in Kfar HaHoresh where I stayed for way too long. Too long, not because I hated it, but too long because it sucked me into its life style and absorbed me. Before I knew it I had been there for 2 months and needed a job to get out.
